Update 10-28-08

I hit a milestone! I benched 600 lbs on March 08, 2008. That was my grand finalle! I am satisfied with my powerlifting career as a whole. Since then, I had been invited to play a character in Mismatch. Mismatch is a short horror film. It will premire in October 2009. Sounds like I will get more acting work. Need to show off this muscular physique! Thanks for your support!

Update 09-07-06

I benched 551 lbs at the Debbie Krunck Classic in Daytona, FL on Oct 28.  This was the first time I had to train for a bench only competition.  I stopped deadlifting for 6 weeks to aleiviate shoulder pain, and squated only everyother week.  Man, did I feel inadequate!  So, now I am back to training all three lifts.  I feel better.  I don't have a meet planned.

"Hardcore Champion Training" - $39.99 plus $5 s/h  Description: Becca and Jill spent an afternoon in the gym pushing themselves (and each other!) to the ULTIMATE limit. Weights well over what most competitive female lifters max out at, they were doing FOR REPS without squat and deadlift suits! Watch them max out their hard earned muscle mass and mental focus to hit huge numbers in the squat, partial rack squats, and deadlift. This wasn't enough for these two out-of-control women! They followed up with a friendly competition in one-arm barbell snatches. Next they moved on to some typical gym lifts in their extreme training session... the ENTIRE stack on seated cable rows, 120 lb dumbbell rows, heavy barbell curls... and so much more (including a one-on-one interview). You'll become exhausted just watching them!

From Mike Sweeney, WPC Executive Chairman 09-26-05

"This past weekend I was in Omaha Nebraska, the home of Big Iron Gym and Becca Swanson and Rick Hussey coach extraordinaire. We were finishing up a documentary focusing on her powerlifting career. Undisputedly the strongest women in the history of the sport, her lifts included an 800 plus squat, 500 plus bench, and 600 plus and zeroing in on a 2000 plus total. A minor leg injury put Helsinki on the "maybe" list. After last Saturday, Helsinki is now on the "go" list!"

Update 12-01-05

Well, I can truely say I am satisfied with my powerlifting career!  In Chicago, at the WPO Semi-Finals on Oct 29, I executed my absolute greatest acceivement ever.  I totalled 2050 lbs, the first time a female has broken the 2000 lb total barrier.  At the same meet, I squatted my best to date, 854 lbs, benched 523 lbs and pulled 671 lbs.  On Nov 5, I competed in Helsinki, Finland.  Because these meets were only one week apart, my only expectation was to total over 2000 in front of the international crowd.  I had a slow start to the day and later learned it was due to lack of sugar carbs, as Fin's eat organic, clean food.  I squatted 804 lbs and the presssure was on total 2000+ lbs!  My bench felt heavy, but I managed a 530 lbs, for an all-time record.  By this time I injested some sugar and my deadlift was ON!  I pulled 683 lbs for an all-time record and a 2017 lb total.

I want to thank everyone in Europe for making our trip well worth it.  I was received with open arms and treated very respectfully.  I hope to return as often as possible.

Update 09-26-05

On June 4, 2005, I lifted in the APF Senior Nationals where I executed my best total ever! I squatted 834 lbs, benched 479 lbs and pulled 640 lbs, totaling 1953 lbs. My individual lifts are just short of my personal records. This sets me up for my next goal, to be attempted in Chicago at the WPO Semi-finals. All of my personal best lifts if executed or exceeded in one meet will total over 2000 lbs. I will attempt this in Chicago, then take off for Finland and attempt it again a week later, internationally.

Meet Squat 843!!

NOTICE:  My bench is up 70 lbs and my deadlift is up 20 lbs, IN THREE MONTHS!!  I have to tell you, the creatine I use is why.  FSI doesn't even sponsor me, but I just have to share what I am going through.  I have it for sale on my site, click here, and an info sheet for you to learn about it.  Rick's theory for me now is bigger body weight for bigger lifts, it is working.
